The BGSU Psychology program is a major source of pride, with its long reputation in the area of industrial and organizational psychology landing the No. 3 spot in U.S. News and World Report’s 2014 Best Graduate Programs in the discipline. Studying psychology at BGSU means working with nationally recognized faculty, contributing to highly anticipated research, and graduating with cutting edge knowledge of the field.
The Department of Psychology is a large, active center for research in all areas of the discipline. You’ll be encouraged to interact with faculty and identify your individual research interests. Each of our 24 full-time faculty members hold doctoral degrees. Our curriculum emphasizes learning-by-doing, and requires more top-level laboratory courses than any program in the state. That means BGSU students in psychology have the edge of being better prepared for internships than students at many other institutions, which allows BGSU students to become leaders in academia and the private sector.
