Chemistry and Physics Education
At BGSU, you don’t have to wait until your senior year to get in a classroom. In-school fieldwork experiences – observing, tutoring, assisting, assessing and teaching – are interwoven into coursework beginning your freshman year. In fact, you will spend close to 1,000 hours in the field across your four years, which is more than most programs at other universities. This foundation helps you set yourself apart from the competition and prepares you for the standardized teacher licensure tests - of which 99.4% of our graduates pass.
BGSU graduates are recruited by some of the best school districts and leading corporations in the world. School systems have come to depend on the quality of employees they hire from BGSU, which is why they participate in the annual Teacher Job Fair that brings nearly 200 recruiters from across the country. In 2013, 1,369 interviews were conducted at the fair.
