Curriculum
The Bachelor of Science in neuroscience is an interdisciplinary program consisting principally of biology and psychology courses. Major coursework includes human studies, animal behavior, neuroethology, ecology, toxicology, pharmacology, electrophysiology, histology and molecular genetics. Additionally, students are encouraged to take independent research courses with neuroscience faculty.

Quality classroom experiences
Most neuroscience laboratories are located in the Psychology and Life Sciences Buildings where students have the opportunity to use the latest technology in animal surgery, biochemistry, molecular biology, microscopy, image analysis, electrophysiology and behavioral analysis. The 9,000-square-foot University Animal Facility has 30 breeding and maintenance rooms that are essential for research and student training.
Neuroscience is an interdisciplinary program between the Biological Sciences and Psychology Departments in the BGSU College of Arts and Sciences.
