"After completing my undergrad at BGSU in the ATE program, I was glad to continue my education in the Learning Design program. I lived and worked abroad in South Korea for one year and the flexibility of this online program helped me to stay on schedule. The Learning Design program focuses on unique skills in an industry that is continually growing. I felt the program's professors and advisors provided great support and valuable guidance. Being able to obtain a job even before my graduation date was just icing on the cake!"

"The flexible, fully-online classes offered in the LRND program allowed me to earn my master's degree while working full-time. Classes utilized a combination of writing assignments, reflective discussions, and individual and group projects that challenged me to fully develop my creative, communication, technology, and critical thinking skills. I emerged from the program with a deep understanding of how adults learn and confidence in my abilities to apply this in the workplace."

"The faculty of the Learning Design program are very enthusiastic, motivating and with a great passion of sharing the knowledge. Their positive attitude, experience, and supervision created an extremely productive collaborative learning environment for me and my peers. It is difficult dicision for an International student to travel from EU to BGSU. However, from the very first week I understood that it worthed every single second. The Learning Design program is a life time experience that provide me with the knowledge and the experience to survive in a very demanded job market!"

"Through the LRND program, I developed and refined my skills of writing, creativity, communication, and organization into a career that enables me to utilize those skills and develop new ones. Through the leadership, teaching, and friendship of Dr. Herman and the rest of the faculty in the LRND program, I would not be on the career path that I am on. I will never regret a single minute of the hard work that I put into the LRND program."

"The skill set that the Learning Design program helped me develop is highly applicable to various settings that I encounter where organizational skills and creativity are a top priority. That skill set includes the ability to see the big picture and think outside of the box, all whil working independently or within a team environment. The faculty and staff within the Learning Design program were challenging, engaging, and supportive. They were able to use their real world experiences to help me connect to the topics and engage in the subjects."

"As a student affairs professional, I am continually developing, implementing, and assessing programs of development for student staff members and students who live in campus residence halls. The Learning Design (CTE) curriculum prepared me to be successful in this process and allows me to bring innovative ideas to my field. One such example is the use of online modules and challenge based learning to supplement face to face staff training."

"The Masters in Learning Design program gives students a unique learning opportunity because the projects and research are primarily centered on teaching and learning in the 21st century, and as a distance learner you are experiencing and applying many of the programs and technology that you are researching and that are being presented. This is a well-structured program with knowledgeable professors who have developed organized online courses with valuable and relevant content."

"The C&TE (LRND) program at BGSU was the final piece in my "What do I want to be when I grow up?" puzzle. As a VCT graduate, I had knowledge and experience in many new and upcoming technologies, but had trouble picking just one or two to turn into a career. I completed the C&TE program to bring all of those options together by becoming an educator. It wasn't until graduate school that I realized I had been teaching my whole life, but never truly thought of it as a career option. I am now an Instructional Technology Consultant at The University of Michigan and am truly happy with my profession. I study many upcoming technologies and help faculty decide which one is the perfect solution for their needs. It feels great to know that I am making a difference for thousands of students and I have BGSU (and the College of Technology) to thank for that."
