Curley, LEED Green Associate, Associate AIA, has been named Toledo Emerging Professional of the Year for 2015.
Erin graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2005 earning a Bachelor of Science in Technology degree with focus on architecture and environmental design. While working full time she concurrently pursued her Master of Architecture degree from Lawrence Technological University beginning in 2007. She completed all the essential comprehensive experience for the Intern Development Program (IDP) as established by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), and earned her Master of Architecture degree, in 2012. Her initiative and leadership ensured the completion, over 3 years, of the Sylvania Area Family Services Addition beyond the firm contract in 2013. She functioned as a volunteer project manager, construction manager, and was honored by the State of Ohio with a Legislative Proclamation for her work. She played a significant role in the City of Sylvania Interrupt Marketing project, which received an AIA Toledo Citation Award in 2014. Additionally, in 2014, she obtained her Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Associate credential, became 1 of 10 nationally to receive the 2014 Jason Pettigrew Memorial ARE Scholarship; and began work as a Job Captain with RCM Architects (Findlay, Ohio) which has expanded her professional portfolio through the introduction of education and institutional projects to balance existing experience in residential and commercial design.
Erin leverages the community through her passion for the profession of architecture. She is both an advisor and liaison for the AIA Toledo High School Design Competition (HSDC), a guest juror for the BGSU architecture program, a mentor for Findlay City Schools Mentorship program, involved in the Toledo Young Architects Forum, and volunteers with the Toledo Green School Committee projects.
