What have previous freshmen students said about the BGeXperience Program?  Check out some of the comments from incoming freshmen students after they participated in the BGeXperience Introduction.

• The leaders of my BGeX class seemed very effective and seem like they are going to have a positive impact on my education.

• I just think the experience has basically made me think about values & beliefs. Also, I was able to meet new people.

• My overall experience with BGeX was good. Very helpful and informative.

• I’m glad that I was able to discuss values with others; it helped to emphasize that there are multiple sides to every conflict and people reach these positions through different lines of reasoning.

• BGeX has helped with my transition to college and I am glad I had the opportunity to participate.

• It is comforting to know that the professors and other students are willing to help out in any way they can or there are places to go to ease the transition.

• The leaders of my BGeX introduction sessions were friendly, warm and inviting. They helped in what to expect out of the college experience both on and off campus.

• I feel very comfortable with others and I feel that values are necessary and I have clarified my thinking of my personal values.

• The BGeX has motivated me for the overall college experience. I’m ready to make a difference not only at BG but the world.

• I liked learning about the community and how to get involved because I’m not from around here so I was nervous about that stuff.

• I liked getting the opportunity to interact with the other students and my amazing professor. I was so nervous about this class but meeting my professor and the other students made me a lot less nervous.

• I liked getting questions answered because I didn’t know a lot about BG and it was just easy to ask questions.

• BGeX gave us some positive insight and reminds you to stay focused on what really matters; your values and what’s important to you. This gave me a push on the right path.

• BGeX gave us something to do that was constructive so we’re not just sitting in our dorms.

• I liked getting to meet the other students, learning about Bowling Green as a town, because I really don’t know anyone and I don’t know where to go.

• I liked getting together with your groups because it gives you an opportunity to meet people and form a bond with one another.

• I liked having discussions and having people disagree on certain subjects because it made me think and go outside the box.

• I liked how much they tell you about what to expect throughout college. I was very nervous of what would be happening and now I feel very aware.

• I enjoyed talking about community service and volunteering. I have done quite a lot of community service and I think it is a great opportunity.

• I enjoyed the point they were trying to get across about how important it is to be an active citizen in the community. I think that will help further the growth of the town.

• I just like the smaller class. It makes me feel more comfortable.

• I like that it is interactive and we can voice our opinions and learn about other people. I met new people that I feel comfortable talking to.

• I thought BGeX helped our class to start coming out of our shells and relay our feelings about issues and current events.

• BGeX is fun. It helps you meet new people.

• I really liked the BGeX Intro because it helped me get comfortable with my professor.

• I enjoyed meeting other students and jump starting my social life here at BGSU. I also really liked being able to meet my instructor before formal classes begin.

• I liked learning what is expected of the students the most and also what to expect as a student because I feel more prepared for classes as a result.

• I liked the fact how open everyone was with ideas and beliefs because it made the sessions more enjoyable and fun.

• It opened the door to our class, breaking down any barriers we may have put up, so that our class will be enjoyable and beneficial throughout the semester.

• The small class that allowed me to meet people and the information given, put my mind at ease.

• The introduction part because it made it easier to find out what I had in common with everyone.

• I really learned a lot about what BG is about and what I can do at this university and around the city. The things to keep me occupied here were a fairly important factor in my college choice.
