Lana Mastroianni - Coach - 419.372.7412

Lana is originally from Parma, Ohio where she skated for the Forestwood Figure Skating Club and Synchronized Skating Teams. She was a four year member of the BGSU Synchronized Skating Team (2000-2003), serving as the President for three years and an athlete member of the USFSA Collegiate Program Committee for two years. Lana has competed in seven National Synchronized Skating Championships.

Lana is a figure skating professional for the Bowling Green Skating Club, where she coaches the Youth and Adult Synchronized Skating Teams and was also an Assistant Director of Ice Horizons in 2003 and 2005. She also coaches for the Findlay Silver Blades Skating Club.

Lana earned a Bachelor of Science in Education in December 2003 with a major in Sport Management and a minor in Marketing. She will graduate from BGSU with a Master of Education in Recreation and Leisure Studies in August 2005.

  

Kathryn Niemczura - Coach - 216.287.7787

A native a Cleveland, Ohio, Katie began skating at the age of 2 and synchro at the age of 9 with the Garfield Teams. She was a member of all levels throughout the 10 years she was with the organization.

Katie attended Miami University and participated on the Varsity team for 4 years. She was an international team member for 4 years and a World team member for 3years. A 3 time national silver medalist, Katie has completed her Gold dances, 3 Junior International dances and her Senior moves in the field. Katie has 3 sisters and is currently working towards a Master’s in School Counseling at Xavier University.

Lona Leck - Advisor - 419.372.7235

Lona has coached/advised the team since 1996 and has achieved her USFSA Gold Test in Figures, Freestyle and Dance and holds a Senior Rating in Figure and Freestyle from the PSA and a Registered Rating in Team Instruction. She is the Assistant Director of the Bowling Green State University Ice Arena, a member of the USFSA Collegiate Committee, and has a Bachelor's Degree from BGSU in General Business Studies and a Master of Education in Human Movement, Sport and Leisure Studies, specializing in Sport Administration.
