What's New?
New membership class has been inducted and new officers elected!
Once again, a long break between updates. These things happen when the chapter President is also the Webmaster, I guess. As you may have noticed, the web site has taken on a whole new look recently. Mortar Board's website is now fully standards-compliant for CSS level 2.1 and XHTML 1.0! Small cause for celebration, but after all of the work, it's nice to know.
Anyway, since the last update, Mortar Board has been planning many exciting events for this spring, including the Last Lecture and the Living Book Presentation. We're also right in the middle of our membership drive. Interested students can check out the membership page to download the membership and scholarship applications now. They are due by 5PM on February 27th.
Wow! It has been almost 6 months since we updated this page! Our sincerest apologies, but it has been a busy time for Mortar Board. Since last year ended, we've been planning for a host of amazing projects. We are off to a great start, raising over $300 for the First Book & Mortar Board's "Virtual Book Drive." The money will go toward the purchase of books for a local charity that serves underprivileged children. Keep an eye on the site for more exciting news in the very near future!
Congratulations on a great year. Mortar Board has completed for 2007-2008. Enjoy your summer, see you next year!
Elections have been completed. The list of executives will be updated as soon as possible. Congratulations to all of Mortar Board's new leaders!
Attention Mortar Boarders: Elections will be held tonight at our meeting. Please be there as we will be selecting the people who will be leading Mortar Board into (and through) the coming academic year!
Inductions have been completed and the new membership class of the Fayetta Paulsen chapter of Mortar Board is getting into gear. The first meeting of the new class was Monday, April 7th and nominations were taken for next year's executive positions. If you would like to run for a position or think you would like to nominate someone, check the position descriptions in the Constitution and then e-mail your nomination to Corinne Staggs, whose e-mail address is linked on the Executives page.

Some things we're going to accomplish next semester include:
- New member selections, tapping & inductions
- Study tables
- Student Union information tables
- Officer retreat/transition party
- Max and Erma's fundraiser

There's plenty more on tap for 2008, but those are some of the highlights. Check the Service page for more info on what we've done this year and what's to come in 2008!
