Winter Wheat 2010
The Mid-American Review Festival of Writing
Session Proposal Form

What are we looking for in a session proposal? Traditionally, Winter Wheat sessions have been craft oriented, rather than formal AWP-type panels. Some of our successful session from last year include "Writing Double-Voice Narratives," "Authentic Writing: Using Theatre Exercises as a Launch Pad," "Writing and Philosophy: A Combined Dialogue," "From Charcoal to Ink: Images to Draw (From)," "Writing Obliquely: The Slant of a Poem," "A Good Man is Hard to Find: Creating Unforgettable Characters," and many more. Our audience includes people from undergraduates to graduate students to graduates of creative writing programs to interested others. It's quite a mix, so prepare for a group of varied skills. We are looking for craft sessions in poetry, fiction, and nonfiction--as well as sessions that cross genres.
If you have a session you want to propose and you're not sure if it's what we're looking for, feel free to e-mail Karen Craigo at karenka@bgsu.edu
or call the MAR office at (419) 372-2725. When you're ready to submit your proposal, use the form below. Simply fill this form and click 'submit' and your proposal is complete.
