Winter Wheat 2010
The Mid-American Review Festival of Writing
Session Proposal Form

Please fill in the following entries as completely as you can. When your workshop has been accepted, you will receive an email notification with current festival information. Updated information (schedule, meal info, etc.) will be sent to presenters as it becomes available. Keep an eye on our website for other information.

What are we looking for in a session proposal? Traditionally, Winter Wheat sessions have been craft oriented, rather than formal AWP-type panels. Some of our successful session from last year include "Writing Double-Voice Narratives," "Authentic Writing: Using Theatre Exercises as a Launch Pad," "Writing and Philosophy: A Combined Dialogue," "From Charcoal to Ink: Images to Draw (From)," "Writing Obliquely: The Slant of a Poem," "A Good Man is Hard to Find: Creating Unforgettable Characters," and many more. Our audience includes people from undergraduates to graduate students to graduates of creative writing programs to interested others. It's quite a mix, so prepare for a group of varied skills. We are looking for craft sessions in poetry, fiction, and nonfiction--as well as sessions that cross genres.

If you have a session you want to propose and you're not sure if it's what we're looking for, feel free to e-mail Karen Craigo at karenka@bgsu.edu or call the MAR office at (419) 372-2725. When you're ready to submit your proposal, use the form below. Simply fill this form and click 'submit' and your proposal is complete.
