How do I join the Friends of the Wood county Humane Society?You simply need to come to one of the Meetings which are held every other week and you can sign up and find any more information you need. Meetings are listed on the Event Calendar Page.Who can join?Anyone can join, all that is required is a love of animals and the willingness to help out.What exactly do you do as part of this organization?Our primary goal is to raise money and support of the local Wood County Humane Society through fundraising events and presence at many campus events.Will I get to work with animals?Of course, as another important part of the club is personally volunteering at the humane society, you can find information about when to go, and what you can do there at the meetings or in E-mail correspondences. Volunteering at the humane society is not required so you can go only if and when you want.Where is the Shelter?The Shelter is just down Van Camp Road, just off Route 25, the turn is right across from the Woodland Mall, coming from campus, head down Wooster, take a right in the middle of downtown onto Route 25, then drive down until you see the car dealerships and the Krogers, right before the mall at the light, take a left onto Van Camp, then drive down the light industrial area until you see the shelter on the left. |
