Service & Outreach

Little Sisters of the Poor:
Creed visits the elderly poor once a month at a care home run by the Little Sisters of the Poor. We encourage students to develop relationships with the residents by visiting regularly. During our visits, we celebrate Mass, each lunch, and do an activity with the residents. Through these visits, we join the Little Sisters in seeking to affirm the dignity of the elderly and to bring Christ's love and mercy to them.

Last spring, we held the first annual Creed "Senior" Prom for the residents. Creed members and residents partnered up for everything from swing to slow dance. Wheel chairs didn't stop anyone from dancing who wanted to! Creed members also entertained the residents with piano, singing, and a performance of Abbot and Costello's "Who's on First?" Watch our calendar for this year's spring prom!

Prayer for the unborn and women in crisis preganancies:
Twice a year, Creed members take part in a Diocese-wide Mass and peaceful prayer vigil at the Toledo abortion clinic. We pray for women in crisis pregnancies and for all involved in the process of abortion. We seek to bring hope in building the Culture of Life by praying that hearts will change. Some Creed students also regularly pray outside the abortion each Thursday and/or Friday while abortions are being performed.
