His mother died when he was young, both his brother and sister died when he was young, and his father died when he was 24, leaving him with no immediate family he studied drama at University; his school was closed because the Nazis invaded Poland. After this he worked in a quarry for four years during this time he realized he was called to the priesthood but he had to study in private under the protection of the Archbishop and at night because of the Nazi rule.

He understood the dignity of human life and wanted to understand the human person, origin, and purpose
Moral relativism: the person is made the center of all things and is a measure of what is real. This idea displaces God and instead holds the individuals opinion as most important.
