Men's and Women's Groups
Why seek a Christ-centered relationship with the opposite sex? How can we do it? The guys and girls groups meet monthly to share experiences and support each other in developing Christian relationships.
Women's group:
Last year, college-age women came together at different times during the year to support each other in seeking to live as Christian women. In the fall, the girls were pampered during an overnight retreat, whose focus was a talk on the writings of John Paul II given by Christopher West, called "Women: God's Masterpiece." In the spring, the girls met monthly, using a short book called "Pure Womanhood" to guide their discussions about living as Christian woman, especially on a secular campus.
"It's so much fun! Girls often want to talk about guys and relationships, and it's great to have the support of other people your age who often share your outlook on living a Christian lifestyle, whether you're dating or not. It's a great place to share ideas and experiences on not only having a good Christian relationship, but also being content and being happy being single." ~ Missy Flecher, Creed member
Men's group:
This past Spring, a group of young men came together and formed a guy's night. Throughout the Spring we had several meetings along with some special guests. In our first meeting, we met up at the field house and played a some dodge ball. Following the games we went and had a discussion on Christopher West's CD, "Winning the Battle for Sexual Purity." In additional meetings, we also discussed Natural Family Planning with a local Catholic doctor there to answer any questions we may have had.
