What is Creed on Campus?

Creed on Campus is a student organization dedicated to strengthening the faith and Catholic identity of the BGSU community. You'll find a wide variety of backgrounds and ages in Creed. Members include undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and international students as well as alumns who are now in the workforce and even students from other colleges. Creed benefits from everyone's different experiences and levels of knowledge.

Our Mission
"We, the members of Creed on Campus, are dedicated to the pursuit of holistic spiritual growth in Jesus Christ. We adhere to the authentic Catholic teachings as provided by Holy Scripture, Catholic Tradition, and the Magisterium of the Church. We promote personal and communal formation and provide truthful avenues of Catholic instruction to the students of Bowling Green State University."

Members come together weekly for prayer and fellowship, as well as intellectual and spiritual growth. Guest speakers, visiting priests, group discussions, and special events, all help students to integrate their Catholic faith into daily college life.

New members and visitors are always welcome. Meetings are open to all members of the BGSU community regardless of religious or non-religious affiliation. For more information, contact us at creed@bgsu.edu

The word "Creed" comes from the Latin credo for "I believe". It is the same word that opens the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds, two of the defining statements of faith in Catholic Christianity.
