Bowling Green State University Men’s Chorus
Spring Tour 2013
The 70-voice nationally known, BGSU Men's Chorus conducted by Tim Cloeter will present a concert tour with performances in Ohio, Georgia, and Florida, March 1-9, 2013.
With a long-standing tradition of excellence, this chorus has inspired and entertained audiences for nearly forty years, and has performed with distinction at regional and national conferences (including the 2011 OMEA/MENC North Central Division Conference, the 2012 biennial national conference of Intercollegiate Men's Choruses, and the 2013 OMEA State Conference).
The concert will include sacred and secular music that spans from classical music to African folkdance, from Britten to barbershop, and from German partsongs to spirituals. Concert highlights will include Britten’s “The Ballad of Little Musgrave,” Schubert’s “Die Nacht,” Gjeilo’s “Ubi Caritas et Amor,” Cobb’s “And Draw Her Home with Music,” “Kpanlongo” with African percussion, motets by Tallis and Handl, and spirituals by Moses Hogan.
