Membership Info

Membership is open to anybody, whether or not they are a student at Bowling Green State University. There is no cost to be a member of the organization. All you have to do is fill out a registration form, which you can obtain by coming to a meeting or a screening.

Members vote on the running series, help plan important events such as Animarathon, and get to participate in club outings. All members also belong to bg_ano, an electronic mailing list that keeps everyone updated on the club.

For every meeting in which you sign in as attending, you earn Member of the Month and Member of the Year points. If you help post flyers, chalk sidewalks on campus, run screenings or help with panels and competitions at Animarathon, or attend screenings, you earn even more points. The member who earns the most points in a month is named Member of the Month and wins an anime, manga, or related item of their choice, up to $20 in value. (In the case of a tie, the prize is split among all winners. Also, the same person cannot win Member of the Month in two consecutive months.) The member who earns the most points over a school year (Fall and Spring semesters) can choose a prize valued up to $50. Help the club and help yourself win prizes at the same time!
