The A Cappella Choir 2007-2008
Our motto is "Esprit de Choeur" which means: The Spirit of the Choir.
The A Cappella Choir is a select ensemble consisting primarily of music majors and minors and requires audition for admission. This ensemble prepares works designed for a medium to small chorus, which are performed a cappella or with chamber instruments. Repertoire is selected from various style periods throughout music history. Performances occur on campus and throughout the region. Members receive one hour of academic credit per semester. The A Cappella Choir is directed by Dr. Sandra Frey Stegman
The 2007-2008 A Cappella Choir Chamber group is directed by graduate assistant Kristina Green. This group is expected to memorize all their pieces and performs at most of the A Cappella Choir performances. The group consists of sopranos Sara Ballou, Nicolette Hicks, and Dani Bash, altos Melissa Penkava, Mae Sattler, and Regina Bauer, tenors RJ Cappa and Nick Kottman, and basses Josh Newton and Ryan Jones.
