Mary Dupont Lines
Born on May 28, 1836 in Quincy, FL
She graduated from Wesleyan in 1853 with an A.B. Degree
She was the only founder to see the Philomathean Society become Phi Mu Fraternity.
She died January 4, 1918 at the age of 81. It was exactly 66 years to the day after the secret founding of the Philomathean Society.
Martha Bibb Hardaway Redding
Born on October 9, 1836 in Columbus, GA
She was the youngest member to help found society. She was only 15 at the time.
She graduated in 1853 with a Bachelor of Arts.
She died on October 15, 1893 at the age of 57.
Mary Myrick Daniels
Born on May 18, 1835 in Baldwin County, GA
She was the oldest of our founders.
She graduated from Wesleyan College in 1853 with a customary Master of Arts Degree.
She died July 14, 1881 at the age of 46. |
