Delta Zeta's new member program goals reflect the purpose of the Sorority as described in our Constitution, and relfect the vision of the National Council to instill pride, loyalty, and commitment in every Delta Zeta. Those goals are:

-To educate each New Member of the responsibilities of membership and create a respect for the core values and principles of the sorority
-To promote a sense of belonging and involvement with the chapter amoung each New Member.
-To educate each New Member about life long commitment to Delta Zeta Sorority
-To provide educational opportunities for personal growth

What is rush or new member recruitment?
-It is a time for potential new members to meet Delta Zeta sisters at organized parties and explore what Delta Zeta has to offer them. This is also the time when Delta Zeta sisters get to know each potential new member before deciding to invited them to become a part of the sisterhood.

Who is eligible?
-An undergraduate woman enrolled full time with 12 credits or more, who has at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA and has the desire to grow in understanding and love as a sister.

How much time is involved with becoming a sister?
-The new member period is generally 6-8 weeks long, and requires attendance at new member meetings once a week. Other time requirements would include attending chapter activities, study hours, community service activites and socials.

Does Delta Zeta have a house at BGSU?
-Yes. Delta Zeta has a 'Fill to capacity' living requirement, meaning that as long as the house is full at all times, memebers may choose to live in the house, in a residence hall, or off campus. If the house is not full girls will be asked to move in based on GPA and class standing.

What are the current fincancial requirements to become a sister?
-As a new member your national dues are $143.00 per month (October-December & February-May)
-In house sisters pay $345.00 national dues (this includes your meal plan which is not run through the university)
-Out of house girls pay $105.00 national dues per month
-There is also a new member fee of $65.00 and an initation and badge fee of $188.00 (which pays for the actual badge when the new member is initated)

What chances do I have of becoming a leader in the Delta Zeta chapter?
-You have every chance in the world. Delta Zeta has many executive board positions and many chairperson offices, as well as commitees for special activites. Delta Zeta also has a 100% involvement directive where we encourage our members to belong to atleast one other campus/community organization.
