Involvement
Every year, Bowling Green State University hosts several events in which Delta Zeta actively participates. From cheering on our sports teams, participating in Homecoming events, Greek Week, and much more. No matter what it may be, Delta Zeta ladies are always ready to get involved! We have 100% of our sisters involved in other organizations around campus. Many of these women also hold a position in another organization.
When we are not supporting our own philanthropy, the sisters of Delta Zeta jump at the chance to participate in others. Some other fraternity/sorority philanthropies that Delta Zeta participates in regularly include: Pi Kappa Alpha’s Trash Splash, Alpha Phi’s Broomball, Chi Omega’s Moonball, Sigma Phi Epsilon/Pi Beta Phi’s Mud Tug, Alpha Sigma Phi Mud Volleyball, and many others. Year after year Delta Zeta competes in games and events that help raise money for other organization's philanthropies.
Delta Zeta also participates in Bowling Green State University’s Dance Marathon, the 32 hour, on-your-feet event that benefits The Toledo area Childrens Hospital as a part of Childrens' Miracle Network. Delta Zeta helped raise over $125,000 last year for the kids. In 2008, Delta Zeta participated in the campus’ first annual Relay for Life to raise money for cancer patients and survivors.
Delta Zeta at Bowling Green State University is also recognized for our participation in Community Service. We have done a variety of Community Service, including walking dogs at the animal shelter, helping out at the soup kitchen and the nursing homes around town, and much more!
