The input that was provided through the Charting Our Future week dialogues held in September 2008 was reviewed, and revised statements of Vision, Mission, Values and Goals were developed. This Working Framework reflected the feedback that had been received to that point, and was the basis for the development of Strategies.

Six cross-functional teams were created from the President’s Expanded Cabinet, Faculty Senate, Classified and Administrative Staff Councils. Each team was asked to use the Strategy Toolkit to develop up to three Strategies for each Goal. Additionally, the BGSU community was invited to submit additional Strategy ideas via the strategic planning blog.

Nearly 200 Potential Strategies were proposed, resulting in a rich set of submissions. Those submissions were clustered and members of the cross-functional teams reviewed and enhanced the ideas at a strategy forum. The seven strategies that emerged are part of the final plan approved by the Board on June 25, 2009.
