Enrique Gomezdelcampo, Ph.D., School of Earth, Environment & Society

As a mentor, my philosophy is to help students develop their abilities in gathering, interpreting, applying and communicating scientific information, thus making them informed decision-makers on issues concerning community, commerce, government, and nature. The focus of my research program is the relationship between hydrology and ecology in a watershed, particularly in grasslands, by means of computer models to simulate processes and geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing to analyze data. The student working with me will improve his/her computer skills by analyzing the effects of hydrology (climatic variables) on biodiversity and habitat of either plant or fish populations. I am currently advising one undergraduate student and two graduate students.
