I work mostly in the fields of new technologies and designing online courses in synchronous and asynchronous environments.
The convergence between computers and handheld devices and the implication for education is one area of interest. The use
of MUVES in distance education is another.

literature is made accessible in various formats for students with print disabilities. In SL she is interested in providing
future teachers in experiences that will help them not just experience a disability, but also feel the effects the disability
has in performing typical activities both in and out of the classroom.

Dr. Anderson teaches courses in general psychology, research methods, and cognition. He directs a cognitive laboratory that
includes graduate as well as undergraduate student researchers, with a current focus on how people perceive, process, and
remember information they obtain from small samples, and how they generalize that information to large populations. Dr. Anderson
also administers a group within Second Life called "Cognitive Science."
