Housing Arrangements

AGH is located in Founders Hall for returning students and Kreischer Compton for new and returning students and will be open to any interested student who is eligible to live on campus through an application process similar to those offered for other special interest housing options, such as Learning Communities. Founders Hall allows for single and double bedroom options. The single rooms share a bathroom with one other person and double rooms are located in six-person suites. The placement in Kreischer Compton allows for double occupancy rooms with a shared restroom on the floor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Any student who is eligible to live on campus, and interested in living in AGH, has the option to live here. AGH is never forced upon any student. The community is completely voluntary, with students opting in.

Please note: The Office of Residence Life discourages individuals in romantic relationships from living together, as that is not the purpose of AGH.

The Office of Residence Life does not pair roommates in AGH.  Students who are approved to live in AGH will select their own rooms and roommates through housing selection.  They are able to select a room based on availability.

The Office of Residence Life reserves the right to consolidate rooms in order to best utilize the space in our Residence Halls.  No student who did not opt into All Gender Housing will be assigned to All Gender Housing space.

Once room assignments are completed, if a space becomes vacant in the suite or room due to a cancellation or room change, Residence Life reserves the rights to consolidate AGH suites.  Consolidation will occur during the normally scheduled times.  No student will be forced into an AGH room/suite.  A student will only have the ability to select or be assigned to AGH after filling out the application and applying, even under consolidation processes.

There are no additional costs to live in AGH. The cost of AGH will be the same cost of a room in Founders Hall or Kreischer Compton and varies depending on whether a single or double room is assigned.

No. Space is limited so it is very important students who wish to live in AGH follow the steps on this page to increase their chance of being accepted into AGH.  You will also have to participate in a phone call with a member of the Residence Life Team in order to be approved.

Depending on whether a student will be new or transferring to BGSU next academic year -or- will be a returning student, will depend on which Housing Selection Guide they should follow. Students should visit the Apply for Housing Page and follow the prompts to find the appropriate housing guide.

Apply for Housing

Yes.  Students need to log in to housing selection during their assigned selection date and time and select a room in the AGH room block in Founders or Kreischer Compton.  The rooms will be listed in the acceptance email and on this webpage when they have been determined.

If you no longer want to live in AGH, you can select a different room outside of AGH in an available building during your room selection date and time.  Please note that if you decide to not live in AGH, your roommate will be based on your biological sex.

If a student missed the deadline and still interested in All Gender Housing, they should contact Rebecca Lyons

Please note: Students who missed the deadline, are not guaranteed placement in All Gender Housing. These requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and as space allows
