Finding Your Fit

There are many housing options available to students. Make sure to check out our various residence halls to determine where you would like to live. On-campus housing sign-up for New Students for the 2017-18 academic year opens on September 30, 2016  in your MyBGSU "My Room and Meals" account.  For housing sign-up assistance, visit our help page for new students with instructions and answers to some frequently asked questions.  You can also sign up to live in our Residential Learning or Theme Communities at any time prior to room selection.

The Costs

For room rates and meal plan prices, look at our rates page. For more information on meal plans or if you have any questions or concerns about meal plan, please contact BGSU Dining.

BGSU offers many different Residential Learning and Theme Communities that fit many different lifestyles and interests. Students in these communities live in groups among our various residence halls with other students who have similar majors, academic interests or personal interests. Check to see if we have a Community that fits your lifestyle!

As part of the room selection process, you can choose to request a roommate or be assigned one.  If you are not requesting a specific roommate, it is important for you to accurately fill out the Lifestyle Questionnaire to help us best match you with a roommate. Living with a roommate can be one of the best parts of your college life experience. To ensure that both roommates have similar expectations, each student is required to fill out a roommate agreement. If problems arise that you are unable to work out with your roommate, seek out the assistance of a Resident Advisor or Hall Director. They will be more than willing to help make your life in a residence hall a great experience!
