The
Silent Witness Project of Northwest Ohio is a memorial
to girls and women whose lives were ended abruptly and violently
at the hands of a husband, ex-husband, partner or acquaintance.
The Silent Witness exhibit has over 55 life size silhoettes
of girls and women. This collection of mothers, daughters,
sisters, aunts, nieces, and friends are a powerful testament
of commitment to break the silence about domestic violence...
The
goal of the Silent Witness Project is to:
- Honor and remember these girls and women
- Promote awareness about the extent of domestic
violence in Northwest Ohio
- Advocate to help connect people with local resources
for ending the violence in
their families and communities
- Encourage community and legislative action to end violence
in our society
