2008 Classified Staff Outstanding Service Award Winner

Purpose of Award
The Classified Staff Council Outstanding Service Award (CSCOSA) recognizes and applauds classified employees whose efforts benefit students, academic units and the university community as well as encouraging and promoting excellence within the workplace. 

Faculty, students, classified and administrative staff may nominate any permanent part-time or full-time employee. The recipient of the CSCOSA will receive a $1,000.00 cash award, a reserved parking space and a commemorative plaque. The award recipient will also have a picture taken which will then be displayed on the permanent plaque which is on display in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union.

Nominees and recipients of the CSCOSA will be recognized at the annual Classified Staff Awards Ceremony, which will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2008, in 101 Olscamp Hall.  Doors will open at 9:00 a.m., light refreshments will be served at 9:30 a.m. and the program begins at 10:00 a.m.

Award Criteria
The CSCOSA will recognize criteria requirements for January 2007-December 2007
   • Nominees must be permanent part-time and/or full-time BGSU employee.
   • Someone who is nominated and then retires is still eligible.
   • If a CSCOSA committee member is nominated for the Outstanding Service Award, that member
      is ineligible from serving in the selection process.
   • Individuals who have won in previous years are ineligible.  (See previous winners below)
   • A maximum of THREE letters of support will be accepted for each nomination submitted.
      The CSCOSA will not consider additional letters of support after receipt of the first three letters.
   • Nomination forms will not be accepted after the deadline date of Friday, March 21, 2008.

Selection Process
The deadline date to submit nomination forms is 5:00 p.m., March 21, 2008. Nomination forms and letters of support received after March 21, 2008 will not be considered.

Nomination forms along with letters of support can be sent to Becky Lentz, CSCOSA Chair, Political Science, 124 Williams Hall.
