Dr. Halpern-Meekin’s work explores the experiences of adolescents in relationship education programs. This work makes use of original data collected from high schools in multiple sites in the United States. Other projects include examining the relationship views and experiences of adolescents and unmarried parents, the experiences of unmarried parents in a relationship education program, the consequences of premarital experiences for marital quality and stability, and the relationship between complex two-parent family structures and adolescent well-being for boys versus girls.
