Yuanting Zhang was awarded the 2006 Donald J. and Susan E. Adamchak Graduate Student Award in Demography on April 28th at
the BGSU Graduate Student Award Ceremony. This endowed scholarship for outstanding achievements by demography students was
created to honor the memory of Donald Adamchak. Both Susan and Donald Adamchak received graduate degrees from the BGSU Sociology
program.
Yuanting recently completed her MS degree in Applied Statistics and published a refereed article on aging in China. She is
now focusing on her dissertation which contrasts changes in divorce patterns among residents of China and Chinese immigrants
in the US. These accomplishments make her a worthy recipient of the Adamchak award. In this photo are Yuanting and her husband
