Professor of Family and Consumer Sciences

Dr. Laflin teaches and has been awarded numerous grants in the areas of drug abuse prevention and sexuality education. Her current project (1999-2004), Sexual Health in Ohio Project, is funded by HHS and is a dissemination and evaluation of the popular Sex Can Wait curricula. She is also developing a social marketing program to decrease teen pregnancy in Allen County, Ohio. Additionally, she has worked in the area of research dissemination.
