Dr. Chibucos is a Professor of Human Development and Family Studies in the School of Family and Consumer Sciences. For the
academic year 2003-2004, he is a Visiting Scholar at the National Poverty Center, Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy,
University of Michigan. His primary research interests address the development of university-community collaborative partnerships
to serve children, youth, and families; family and child policy, with especial attention on the quality of childhood and family
life, during welfare reform. His expertise is on government-family relations. Currently, as Visiting Scholar at the National
Poverty Center, he is working on two books on family theory and family research and policy, as well as undertaking a multi-decade
Census research project on changes in concentrations of poverty for families and children.
