The CFDR's primary function is to facilitate interdisciplinary research on policy-relevant issues relating to the health and
development of children, adolescents, and families. The research conducted by CFDR associates has three distinct attributes:
(a) a tradition of collaboration, (b) a reliance on multimethod approaches, and (c) an emphasis on "at-risk" families and
children.
The Center's primary research function will be realized through support for projects that are located at least broadly in
one of four important areas of interdisciplinary inquiry: adolescent development, health and mortality, immigration, and family.
In Projects we briefly describe examples of ongoing work by CFDR associates in each of these.
Attention CFDR Affiliates: Please acknowledge the support you receive from CFDR by including the following statement in your
research papers and presentations:
This research was supported in part by the Center for Family and Demographic Research, Bowling Green State University which
has core funding from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (R24HD050959-01).
