Dr. Cernkovich's primary research area is juvenile delinquency, having concentrated particularly on the impact of family,
peer and school factors on conforming and antisocial behavior. He also has conducted research on female delinquency and on
chronic juvenile offenders. The focus of his latest work is the mapping of transitions to young adulthood-both successful
and unsuccessful-of a sample of respondents who were differentially involved in antisocial behavior as adolescents.
