The External Affairs Committee of the Administrative Staff Council organized two events to support its goals of generating support for University-wide staff involvement and introducing fundraising opportunities.
One of these events was to participate in the annual Bowling Green City Parade. We created a float titled “The BGSU Education Express Moves Lifelong Learning Forward.” After decorating the float, candy was passed out along the parade route to excited and anxiously waiting children.
The second activity organized was the Hannah Sock Drive. Eight drop-off locations were set-up and 146 pairs of socks along with $40 was collected and donated to Hannah Socks, a non-profit charity, which distributes socks all over Ohio to those in need.
