Office of Campus Sustainability

The Office of Campus Sustainability within Campus Operations at Bowling Green State University is committed to: 

• improving the efficiency of our facilities,
• greening our practices and processes,
• and strengthening a culture of environmental stewardship for the entire university community.

The Office of Campus Sustainability has been operating since the fall of 2008 to fulfill these initiatives. 

The Office of Campus Sustainability places great importance on involving students, staff, faculty, and the local community in our efforts to reduce our consumption of resources and minimize our ecological footprint. 

Recycling, conserving water and other resources, turning off lights and appliances when not in use, and many other small actions add up to a lot of energy and water saved, and helps BGSU to be in the forefront of sustainable leadership in northwest Ohio and beyond.  To see our full set of goals, check out our  Campus Sustainability Strategy.
