The components of BGSU's Student Success Plan reflect a larger purpose of higher education as a whole, which is attainment of student goals in professional and personal endeavors.

BGSU has won the 2007 Award for Institutional Progress in Student Learning Outcomes from the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. We are one of only 10 institutions of higher education among over 3000 in the nation to have won the award.

BGSU participates in the National Survey of Student Engagement. The 2000, 2001, 2003, and 2005 NSSE results are presented online at http://www.bgsu.edu/offices/ir/page18621.html.  In general the results show that BGSU undergraduate students are actively engaged with their academic activities at the University.
