What are Reflections?
Each week students are asked to reflect upon the day’s
activities and enter into the computer
their thoughts, impressions, observations
and conclusions abut what they learned
during the session. They are asked to think
about what went on in class and note behaviors
and feelings that were evoked. What does
that tell you about yourself? Your growth?
Your learning style? Your priorities?
What People Are Saying
After the last session of Springboard we asked first-year
students to reflect on their Springboard experience. Here is what
they had to say!
"Springboard provided
me with someone who has valuable advice
to share form their college experiences
and who can help you along with the beginning
of yours."
-
Amanda Andersky, 2006 Freshmen
"When you commit to something
huge, like collage for instance,
you have to adjust to the way things
go as soon as you get there or else
you're going to have a rough time.
Springboard helped me get through
my first semester, and it was great."
-Justin
McGraw, 2006 Freshman
"Springboard has
helped me see some of my flaws early
in collage before they got really bad.
Such as time management and be sure to
prioritize."
-Josh

"Springboard reminds me of why I am here;
to get an education. This class reminds me
of what my values are, things that are important
to me and things I need to do to get me through
the week ( go to class, do homework etc.)."

their surroundings along with meeting
upperclassmen that can help them along
in their future here at BGSU."

me to consider different possibilities
in regards to friendship and has allowed
me to experience different personalities
