2009 Challenge
Last year, over 120 volunteers participated in the 2009 MLK Jr. Day of Service Challenge. We had students, faculty, staff,
and community members come together to participate in service for the Bowling Green community. Community agencies involved
last year were: Bowling Green Teen Central, the NAMI Connection Center, The Wood County Historical Society Museum, Wood Lane, Bowling
Green City Parks District, The BGSU Women's Center, Habitat for Humanity, Jack and Jill Daycare, and ProgressBG.
2010 Challenge
The 2010 MLK Jr. Day of Service Challenge is fast approaching. For 2010 we hope to involve over 250 volunteers and 15 service
sites. However, we need your help to make this happen. Those interested in being part of the 2010 planning committee should
contact BGSUPartnerships@bgsu.edu. This planning committee will come together to prepare next year's events, coordinate the host sites, and organize logistics
of the challenge. This is an excellent leadership and volunteer opportunity for students looking to get more involved. The
first planning meeting will take place Wednesday, October 28, 2009 in University Hall 315 at 9:00 p.m.
Information on how to register as a participant for the 2010 MLK Jr. Day of Service Challenge will be available soon.
Be part of the difference today.
