NICE! (Neighbors Improving Community Excellence) Grants

Toledo Community Foundation (TCF) and students from Leadership Toledo's Youth in Philanthropy Encouraging Excellence (YIPEE) have partnered to provide grants for community building and improvement projects.  Grants ranging from $100 to $1,000 are available to community organizations or groups of citizens whose proposed projects improve the images of their communities and promote volunteerism among community members.  Priority is given to small, one-time projects concentrated in the Toledo area, including: Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, and Wood Counties in Ohio and Monroe County in Michigan.  This grant program encourages creative ideas that involve community members in bettering their neighborhoods. 

Grant requests are considered throughout the year.  Applicant s are notified of a decision on their request within thirty (30) days of application submission.
