The Gulf-South Summit on Service-Learning and Civic Engagement through Higher Education is proud to present five awards recognizing the hard work and dedication of outstanding people and programs in the field of service-learning and community engagement in higher education.  The award categories include:

• Practitioner Contributions to Service-Learning
• Community Partner Contributions to Service-Learning
• Faculty Contributions to Service-Learning
• Student Contributions to Service-Learning
• Service-Learning Partnerships

We are seeking nominations and applications of deserving candidates for each of these award categories.  The categories are described in more detail at http://www.lsu.edu/summit09/awards.html.  A downloadable nomination form is also available at this site.  Nominations are due by NOVEMBER 7.  

Awards will be presented at the annual Gulf-South Summit Conference on March 25-27, 2009 at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA.
