The Jefferson Awards for Public Service

The Jefferson Awards for Public Service go to those individuals who have a tremendous impact in the local community.  The award focuses on personal acts that are outstanding, unique, and heroic. It also focuses on the impact and improvement that the individual makes in the community. Both volunteers and paid professionals are eligible, as long as they are "unsung" meaning they are not normally in the media, and have gone above and beyond their normal duties.
