Program Description:
Civic Action Leaders are a distinguished cohort of student leaders selected to represent the Office of Service-Learning as part of the BGSU Service Corps. Between 6-10 students will be selected to take part as the inaugural class of 2009-2010 Civic Action Leaders. As a leadership team they will create opportunities for students to engage in public service and service-learning, and contribute to campus and community activities that promote personal and social responsibility and civic action. Civic Action Leaders may have the option of continuing in the program throughout their undergraduate experience. The first cohort will include a group of first year students with an option of 3 years in the program; sophomores will have an option of 2 years in the program, and juniors an option of 1 year in the program. We are particularly interested in recruiting a cohort representing all colleges and a broad range of majors.
