2008 Nominee and State Winner - Chelsea Scholl. Junior, Social Work
Chelsea Scholl, a Junior at Bowling Green State University, was nominated based on her exceptional record of service, and in particular her significant leadership role in the creation of a Teen Center in Bowling Green, OH in fall 2007. The center is staffed by BGSU student volunteers and supported by a range of community partners. Ms Scholl helped create the partnerships, has taken leadership during the first year of the center, has had a significant impact on fundraising, programming, and the future sustainability for the center.
Chelsea Scholl was selected as one of the State Award winners and received a $500 Legacy Grant sponsored by   Fifth Third Bank . The grant was donated to the BG Teen Center. She was also chosen as the Ohio nominee for the Campus Compact Howard R. Swearer Student Humanitarian Award.
