American Association of Colleges and Universities
AAC&U is the leading national association concerned with quality, vitality, and public standing of undergraduate liberal education.  Its members are committed to extending the advantage of liberal education to all students, regardless of their academic specialization or intended career.

American Association of Community Colleges (AACC)
Provides information and sample materials and links community colleges interested in starting service-learning programs with others that have programs underway.

Break Away: The Alternative Break Connection
A national network of colleges, universities, and community organizations to promote local, regional, national, and international service through academic break programs. It offers resource guides, a database of potential work cites, consultation, regional conferences, summer training sessions, mini-grants, and a newsletter.

Campus Compact
A Coalition of more than 1100 college and university presidents who believe that institutions of higher education have a primary responsibility to foster students’ sense of civic responsibility and contribute to the welfare of their communities. Campus Compact works on a national level to cultivate discourse and support for public and community service; develop resource materials, grant programs, workshops, and institutes; and support a network of state and specialized offices to provide targeted assistance for institutions.

Campus Outreach Opportunity League (COOL)
Works with hundreds of colleges and universities to start, strengthen, and expand community service programs. COOL supports college student community service through campus-based training and consulting, conferences, publications, and the national Into the Streets program.

Center for Democracy and Citizenship
A national civic and political initiative focused on promoting democracy and strengthening citizenship and civic education within a variety of settings. The center’s youth-focused programs include outreach, teaching, and research projects to strengthen community and civic capacities.

Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE) 
CIRCLE promotes research on the civic and political engagement of Americans between the ages of 15 and 25. Although CIRCLE conducts and funds research, not practice, the projects that they support have practical implications for those who work to increase young peoples engagement in politics and civic life. CIRCLE is also a clearinghouse for relevant information and scholarship.

Community-Campus Partnerships for Health (CCPH)
CCPH is a nonprofit organization that promotes health through partnerships between communities and higher educational institutions. Founded in 1996, they are a growing network of over 1000 communities and campuses. CCPH has members throughout the United States and increasingly the world who are collaborating to promote health through service-learning, community-based research, community service and other partnership strategies. These partnerships are powerful tools for improving health professional education, civic responsibility and the overall health of communities.

Constitutional Rights Foundation
Constitutional Rights Foundation (CRF) is a non-profit, non-partisan, community-based organization dedicated to educating America's young people about the importance of civic participation in a democratic society.

Corporation for National and Community Service
Created by the 1993 National and Community Service Trust Act to administer and distribute federal funds to engage people of all ages and backgrounds in local, community-based service. The corporation’s work includes AmeriCorps, the National Senior Corps, and Learn and Serve America. Its publications are useful for program design and evaluation.

International Association for Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement
IARSLCE seeks to advance the fields of service-learning and community engagement research across the educational spectrum by promoting the development and dissemination of research on service-learning and community engagement internationally and across all levels of the education system.  IARSLCE hosts the main national conference on service-learning research every October.

Learn & Serve
Provides funding and training to service-learning programs across the country. Supports programs in schools and community organizations that help nearly one million students from kindergarten through college.

National Service-Learning Clearinghouse
This is one of the best and most used resources in the service-learning field.  NSLC supports the service-learning community in higher education, kindergarten through grade twelve, community-based initiatives and tribal programs, as well as all others interested in strengthening schools and communities using service-learning techniques and methodologies. The Clearinghouse maintains a website with timely information and relevant resources and operates national listservs for K-12 service-learning and higher education service-learning to encourage discussion and exchange of ideas. The Clearinghouse also maintains an ever-growing library collection and clearinghouse staff are ready to assist you with materials, referrals, information, and reference and technical assistance. Please contact them for help with program startup, academic research, assessment and evaluation, online documents, or anything else regarding service-learning.

National Service-Learning Partnership
Dedicated to advancing service-learning as a core element of the educational experience for every elementary, middle, and secondary school student in the United States.

National Service Resource Center
The Resource Center is your one-stop shop for online tools and training resources to strengthen your volunteer or service program. The Resource Center contains online training tools, event calendars, and effective practices, as well as a catalogue of printed publications and videos available on loan.  Sponsored by the Corporation for National and Community Service.

National Society for Experiential Education
Nonprofit membership association of educators, businesses, and community leaders. Serves as a national resource center for the development and improvement of experiential education programs nationwide.

National Youth Leadership Council
For more than two decades, NYLC has led a movement linking youths, educators, and communities to redefine the roles of young people in society. That movement is service-learning, and it empowers youths to transform themselves from recipients of information and resources into valuable, contributing members of a democracy. Each year, thousands of practitioners attend NYLC trainings and receive technical assistance. Their Resource Center provides an extensive, searchable library of articles, project examples, and downloadable tools related to service-learning.

Ohio Campus Compact
Ohio Campus Compact is a state-wide, non-profit coalition of 49 college and university presidents and their campuses working to promote and develop the civic purposes of higher education

Points of Light Foundation
A nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that seeks to engage more people more effectively in community service to address serious social problems. Its Youth and Education Outreach program focuses on young people and schools. The foundation offers numerous resources.

Youth Service America (YSA)
To promote a unified, nonpartisan national youth service movement, provides leadership development, technical assistance, and training for community service programs in schools, colleges, universities, and community organizations. Services include the weekly National Service Briefing, other publications, and a national conference.
