The Falcon Edition

Extreme Couponing: The Falcon Edition is a coupon run designed to raise awareness and collect goods for Nightingales Harvest, a food pantry for cancer patients and their families. Nightingales Harvest is the only food bank in the country that serves not just the patient but the entire family or caregiver without regards to income level.

We are asking members of the BGSU community to collect coupons and to join us for the shopping trip on Saturday, November 10th. The Office of Service-Learning will be providing transportation and snacks for the trip.

*You must register for a Kroger and Giant Eagle card to attend the shopping trip. These are free to obtain.

Here is the schedule for November 10th:
10:00am Meet at University Hall; Leave for Perrysburg
10:30am Arrive at Kroger, Perrysburg
12:30pm Leave for Toledo
1:00pm Arrive at Giant Eagle, Toledo
3:00pm Leave for Nightingales Harvest
3:25pm Arrive at Nightingales Harvest and unload truck
4:30pm Leave for BGSU
5:00pm Arrive back at University Hall

The purpose of this event is to stock Nightingales Harvest’s pantry using as little money as possible. To do so we are looking for coupons that give us the best value for money. The following websites are great resources for locating coupons:

Please see the chart below for products that offer us the best savings. THIS IS NOT A THOROUGH LIST OF ITEMS NEEDED. This chart is a guide to help you select the best coupons. Coupons for these products can easily be found in numerous local coupon books and online via a simple Internet search. We are not collecting coupons for medicine, vitamins, bread, alcohol, or ice cream.

When cutting coupons please make sure the bar code and expiration date are fully intact. The coupons cannot be used without these two things.

Results Are In!

We are proud to report that Extreme Couponing was a great success this year saving over $1800! We thank everyone who helped with the event from clipping the coupons to using them. Below is a detailed breakdown of the day's shopping trip.
