The registered driver, or registered student in possession of the vehicle, or employed faculty/staff member, or owner will
be held responsible for all parking assessments issued to the vehicle.
Assessments
A student or faculty/staff member charged with a violation may pay the appropriate assessment at the bursar's office in the
Administration Building since it will be charged to the individual's account at the time of issuance. If paying via fine box,
please pay by check.
Violation notices incurred on vehicles registered by the state in the name of the parents, guardians, spouse or other family
members of a student will be charged to the student unless the owner acknowledges and assumes responsibility for the violation(s).
Appeals
An undergraduate student has the right to appeal a parking violation through the Undergraduate Student Parking Appeals Board
within 21 days after the issuance of the ticket. After 21 days the appeal may be considered if there are circumstances which
create an exception. Forms for appeal are available at the Parking and Traffic Office and the Office of Student Life.
Faculty/staff members and graduate students receiving tickets have the right to appeal the violations within 21 days after
issuance to the University Appeals Committee. After 21 days the appeal may be considered if there are circumstances which
create an exception. Appeal forms are available here, in the Parking and Traffic Office and the Undergraduate Student Government office - room 402 Bowen-Thompson Student Union.
