Division of Student Affairs

PURPOSE:

To develop and implement a division-wide diversity plan.

FUNCTIONS:

1. Provide staff training opportunities related to diversity issues;
2. Assist departments in implementing diversity programs, services, and plans;
3. Consult on implementation of BGSU diversity initiatives.

MEMBERSHIP:

1. Shall consist of one (1) representative from each of the departments within the Division of Student Affairs.

CHAIR:

Chair shall be appointed by the Senior Associate Vice President for Student Affairs.

OPERATING PROCEDURE:

All meetings shall be conducted within the framework of BGSU’s core values of respect and cooperation.

VOTING RIGHTS:

All members shall have equal voting rights.

REPORTING STRUCTURE:

The Student Affairs Diversity Committee reports to the Vice President for Student Affairs.
