Student Affairs begins assisting new students, parents, and family members long before the first day of classes. The Orientation & Registration and Welcome Programs allow students and their family members to become acquainted with academic expectations, campus resources and services, faculty and staff members, and peers. Once on-campus, we provide support programs to ensure all students are able to achieve their academic and personal goals. BGSU and Student Affairs are committed to making higher education accessible to students of all backgrounds and abilities. We also help students gain valuable skills to become their own best advocates in navigating college life through learning more about themselves and each other by actively participating in BGSU’s diverse community.

In addition, the Division of Student Affairs offers vital services to students. Residential and dining facilities provide comfortable living areas, great food, and experiences that are certain to become lasting memories. In addition, student success depends upon student health in body, mind, and soul. The Division offers an array of services and programs to help students maintain optimal physical and emotional health. Furthermore, from the moment students arrive on campus, they receive assistance in developing a career plan and obtaining on-the-job experience via co-ops and internships. Such career support does not end upon graduation, as alumni are encouraged to continue using the Career Center throughout their lives.
