Drug, Alcohol, and Sexual Offenses Coalition

PURPOSE:

To educate the BGSU community on the prevention or reduction of alcohol and drug abuse and their associated problems among BGSU students and other members of the community.


FUNCTIONS:

  1. Identify and suggest ways of implementing strategies and solutions to reducing alcohol and drug use and their associated problems.

MEMBERSHIP:

  1. Shall consist of a variety of representation throughout the BGSU community, including faculty, staff, undergraduate students, and graduate students;
  2. Community members shall consist of representatives from the Municipal Court system, Wood County Hospital, Behavior Connections, Wood County Alcohol Education Services, and/or other community-based services;
  3. Co-chairs shall consult with current members to identify new members;
  4. All appointments are for one-year terms.

CHAIR:

Co-chairs shall be appointed by the Senior Associate Vice President for Student Affairs.


OPERATING PROCEDURE:

All meetings shall be conducted within the framework of BGSU’s core values of respect and cooperation.


VOTING RIGHTS:

All members shall have equal voting rights.


REPORTING STRUCTURE:

The Drug, Alcohol, and Sexual Offenses Coalition reports to the Vice President for Student Affairs.
