Kathy Hawk Nicosia Leadership Award
Kathy Hawk Nicosia graduated in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Arts and Sciences. While a student at Bowling Green State University, she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Women’s Fraternity. In addition to her more than 30 years of service with American Airlines, she was a dedicated wife and mother. Kathy was a natural born leader who inspired others with her generosity, kindness and compassion. Kathy’s family and friends have established this award in her memory.
Considerations for the Kathy Hawk Nicosia Leadership Award:
- This award honors a student entering his or her junior or senior year of enrollment in the 2014-2015 academic year;
- Candidates' concern for others at Bowling Green State University must be exemplified by the characteristics of recognizable leadership, academic achievement, admirable personal qualities, dedication to BGSU and the benefits derived from participating in leadership opportunities;
- A minimum of $1,000 will be awarded each year during the spring semester.
The Kathy Hawk Nicosia Application for Leadership Award must be submitted to: Division of Student Affairs, 107 Conklin Hall, Bowling Green, OH 43403 no later than April 1, 2014 by 5:00 p.m.
